About

The Pinelands Athletic Club was founded by Gifford H. “Penty” Pentland-Smith at a meeting of twenty-one Pinelands residents on Tuesday 19th August 1937.The club house is situated in Pinelands on the lower Oval sports field, off St Stephens Road. To reach the clubhouse turn off Forest Drive into Uitvlugt and take the service road parallel to Forest Drive towards the BP Garage. Approximately 150 metres on the right is the entrance to the lower oval and clubhouse.

The club participates in Road Running, Cross Country, and Track & Field activities.

The clubs colours are a Navy Blue running vest with The Wings on the front and sky blue shorts.

The Club organises two road racing events a year on the Western Province running calendar, the Hohenort 15km and the Pinelands 10km.
