Walmers Athletic Club (WAC) was formally established in May 2015 as a Social Running Club by ex members of Walmers Rugby Club  as well as members of the Waikikis social club who organised annual runs from Walmer Estate to Sandy Cove during the 1980s. The WAC Slogan “We Run for Fun” epitomises the club Mission “To develop & deliver effective services and support to our members based upon their athletic needs“ and Vision “To grow & promote sporting activities in the Western Cape by being readily accessible & approachable by those who wish to be physically active”. WAC has grown to over 150 members, finishing 20th on the WPA League 2015 to 2017.
